So. What happened Newgrounds? I've taken a break from animation for a LONG time, and I know back when I really started I wasn't that great... but... what happened to the place? I've been a member of this site for 2 years, but I've been watching these videos for WAY longer. Back in the days of 2000 or so before I had my oun E-mail adress to set up an account. Back before Tankmen or any of that. I rember a time when you didn't need to be compleately amazing at animation and have seemless frame by frame animation and have perfect lip sinc. And do start pulling up sprites, sticks, or parodies as examples of bad flashes that made it to the front.

I remember when good writing and actually thought out humor or half decent sound was what got you to the front page. All I'm really asking is... is original writing and not a parody or a tribute to much to ask for? You rarely see that now adays. Plus somehow what's on the front page ends up toping long time favorites in the "Best of all time" List. When did that start happening? Didn't it used to be an honor to get an animation up on that list? Something everyone shot for? Now it just seems like the whole system around here has become a joke.

Someone tell me I'm not the only one who sees that something is wrong.
